Those Who Want To Lay Off Politics

I read with amusement today’s headlines in the STAR newspaper, “Simply fed-up.”
I am not sure whether the newspaper conducted a poll when it reported:
“STOP the bickering and get cracking .. that is the cry of Malaysians who want to see an end to all the politicking that has gripped the nation … And even the bloggers are getting sick of all the shenanigans – and are laying off politics for a while.”
As if one can lay off politics! Politics is not a TV or radio show which one can switch on or off according to one’s whims and fancies.
The bloggers and main-stream journalists who want to “lay off politics” remind me of the proverbial ostrich burying its head in the sand.
Is “laying off politics” by bloggers such a big deal that it should be given front page? So what is the agenda?
One commented that “there are more important things in life, like how someone is going to feed his family.” What a belated realization and it does nobody any good when it does not pinpoint the culprit for the present financial mess. It is so cliché.
What a kop out, if ever there was one! These bloggers can afford the luxury of switching off politics, but the entire nation demands accountability and that the rotten Badawi fish head to be removed now!
We do not have the luxury to switch off because with each passing day that the rotten fish head remains as Prime Minister, the closer we are to a financial catastrophe worse than the 1997 financial crisis. And there will be blood flowing on the streets.
If anyone wants to bail out when the going gets tough, please do so but do not try to make an issue out of it. You will not be sorely missed. No one is indispensable in this common struggle to get rid of the rotten fish head!
The Fog of War
There is an ongoing political war that is downright mean and dirty. It can get confusing at times.
But should we be surprised that this war is dirty and slimy when it has all to do with the power and control of the nation’s money-making machine? Since when is a political struggle for power a tea party at the Ascots?
This war was started by Badawi and spearheaded by his son-in-law and his band of spin doctors. And while they are fanning the flames of war to divert the attention of the rakyat, they are busy looting the treasury.
Since 2004, the nation has sunk to its eyeballs in the cesspool of corruption, outright plunder and looting, abuse of power, disinformation and false flag operations.
What the entire nation is witnessing is the most intense political struggle for power by three contenders in recent history – more intense and dirty than that of the 1987 and 1997 struggles.
The three contenders are the rotten fish head (Badawi), his Deputy and Anwar Ibrahim.
And if one examines closely the modus operandi of the respective contenders, there is a common thread: to abuse Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad and his previous administration – to justify in the case of Badawi, his hold on power, for Anwar Ibrahim, his rationale for seizing power, and Najib Tun Razak, by his “elegant silence” regarding such character assassination, his hope to inherit power.
While they oppose each other, they also connived with each other to gain tactical advantage when opportunities arise.
When Anwar was let loose from prison, it was a given that he would go on a rampage to discredit Tun Mahathir’s administration. Badawi was counting on a slugfest between the two, so that he could avoid the spotlight and continue to foster the “Mr. Clean” image.
It did not materialize as expected, so the barking dogs were let loose and the mass media was orchestrated to do the dirty work. Badawi did not count on, or underestimated that Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad would come out fighting. From 2006 to early 2008, the spotlight was focused on the rotten fish head. Badawi was freaking out.
He was in a quandary and was out of options. Najib was content to watch from the sidelines, for when elephants clash, one should get out of the way.
Anwar had his own calculations – Badawi and Najib are easy meat. But not Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad. He is Anwar’s worst nightmare.
The Political Wayang Kulit (Shadow Play)
Both Badawi and Anwar needed to neutralize Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad. The Royal Commission to investigate the “Lingam Tapes” just before the General Elections was the perfect ploy in their estimation. For Badawi, it was a welcome distraction from the persistent criticisms by Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad. For Anwar, it was a worthwhile trade off as it enabled him to exact revenge and the publicity for himself and his fledging party during the General Elections.
Others were only too eager to join the bandwagon as they have their own agenda. They were the eager extras in the Bollywood movie.
The Royal Commission failed to deliver the expected knock-out blow. Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad survived the unprecedented onslaught. His enemies even prayed that he would not recover and survive the heart operation. When Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad entered the lion’s den of the Royal Commission, healthy and resilient, they almost had a heart attack!
So back to the drawing board for the power grabbers!
In my previous posting, I had already explained how Badawi played Najib against Anwar, in the hope that the two will kill each other. This is not unlike Britain’s strategy during the Second World War, to make Germany fight the Soviet Union and when the two warring countries have exhausted themselves, to pick up the pieces.
However, if both contenders were to be finished off, there is still the Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad factor. Najib would not dare put a dagger in the back of Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad. But Anwar may be persuaded to kill two birds with one stone – Najib and Mahathir!
This is the background to Badawi’s connivance in agreeing to Anwar’s demand that investigations be conducted into certain allegations against the Inspector General of Police (IGP) and the Attorney-General, notwithstanding that these are wild allegations.
Why target the IGP and the Attorney-General?
They were responsible for the conviction of Anwar on the corruption charge. Having obtained the acquittal on the sodomy charge, Anwar knows that unless he gets a further review of the corruption conviction, he cannot by any stretch of imagination aspire to be the Prime Minister. No convicted criminal can be a Prime Minister, more so when his conviction was affirmed by two different panels of judges of the Federal Court.
Anwar has to discredit the IGP because the IGP was the officer who was directed by Anwar to coerce Azizan to retract his complaint against Anwar for sodomy. This evidence was never rebutted by Anwar’s defence team at the trial and was a crucial factor in the conviction of Anwar for abusing his power as Deputy Prime Minister in getting a Special Branch officer to compel the complainant to retract his complaint.
So many reports have been filed with the police with regard to abuse of power and corruption by members of the Badawi administration, but investigations into these complaints have been tardy.
But the ACA has already commenced investigations against the IGP and the Attorney-General.
Once again, we have to ask the US$ Trillion question – Who is the main beneficiary of all this theatrics?
The spotlight is now on the three main threats to Badawi and no one seems to be focusing on the rotten fish head.
Not me. I have no intention to turn the lights off and “lay off politics” like some bloggers.
So ask yourself, whose interests are we serving, when at this critical juncture, we turn the spotlight away from the rotten fish head and lay off politics?
So what if things turn ugly and dirty? We are not the ones who are dumping the shit and shoving people into the cesspool. These bloggers can hold their noses to avoid the stench from the cesspool, but they would not be able to do so for long. They cannot open their mouth for fear of swallowing the shits. They have to breathe to survive. What then?
*******!
This is my call. Get deep into politics. Do not be afraid of the dirt and the shit. We have to clean the shit and get out of the cesspool. We must all pull together.
First and foremost, get rid of the rotten Badawi fish head!
Then, get rid of Anwar Ibrahim, the usurper!
Finally, let the due process of law determine the fate of Najib.

Then and then only can we rebuild a New Malaysia.
Laying-off politics is not an option! It is a fantasy, a LSD trip that will lead you nowhere.
We are not going to a tea party at the Ascots. We are getting rid of scoundrels, crooks and scumbags that have destroyed our country.

tunku : yea, i did not join the bloggers call for blogging strike.like what matthias chang said get deep into politics.

Hello tunku,

I dont think I agree with you. Dollah is not that bad as you think he is. Although he is not that brilliant than the previous PM, but compared to ANWAR and NAJIB to take over the helm, I rather to just let him to take on the leadership.

But the main weakness in his current leadership is his son in law (K.J) which does all the "dirty works" in politics and gave the bad impression of the rakyat towards Dollah.

In fact, during Mahathir decison before electing Dollah as the next PM, Dollah is chosen becuase he is "clean" (no corruption in politics). If he did not make mistakes by canceling the mega projects done by the Tun M, rakyat would have much confidence in him as the PM today.
