Hisham: Unite against attacks on Umno

PETALING JAYA: Umno Youth members have been urged to set aside party nomination thoughts and to stand united against attacks on the party and its leadership, said its chief Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein.
“We feel it is time for all members at every level to come together to ward off ill intentions by certain parties, especially Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, who clearly wants to destroy the party, bring disrepute to the leaders and taint the country's image,” he said in a statement Sunday.
Hishammuddin said Umno Youth would continue to defend the party and leadership and urged all members to stand united to defend the nation, race, religion and Malay Rulers.
“It is pointless to fight for positions and win if our party is weak and purposely being destroyed by enemies outside.
“Anwar's actions and mischief to divert the public's attention from the sodomy allegation against him proves that he does not care about the country and the people's peace but just wants to destroy Malaysia,” he claimed.
Hishammuddin said they would go down to the ground to inject the spirit of Umno Youth at the grassroots level as well as expose the recent lies and mischief.
“Umno Youth will not keep quiet about this matter. I myself will be going to the various states with my Youth exco, beginning with Johor,” he added.

tunku : yes we must unite and fight the enemy from outside but must never forget to fight the enemy from inside too. pak lah and his boys are taking advantage on the anwar issue right now so that the members will tend to forget on the party's coming election. i think hisham should set example if he wants members to listen to his advice that it's pointless to fight for positions and win, he should announce that he will not contest any post in the coming election.

If u wanna resolve d problem u kena la reform dlm UMNO dulu..1st kick ur deputy out, n yes I meant Khairi Jamaluddin, n den get d Pemuda to put steaming pressure(heheh) on PLah to step down. Once he step down get ur cuzen DSN to b d 'Caretaker' PM n den let d President & Deputy Pres. to b contested in Dec. & in Dec hopefully d rakyat will get Ku Li to b d President & Deputy to DS Rais Yatim(org berbudi bahasa & brhemah cam Dr.Rais ni bagus gak) n Pemuda to b lead by Dato'M... aftr 10yrs den Dato'M cud lead d country,insyaalah..heheh..wat can I say..(,")

SAY NO TO NWO!! SAY NO TO AnWar!!

p.s. bro Hisyam i honestly tink u shud retire n concentrate on being ordinary member n try being a biznessman..or u can b in d MT..

It's a good move if UMNO wants to do a 'reformation' within the party. It's not that Pak Lah is taking advantage with the current situation but the press and nation is more hyped to see the much popularized controversial conspiracy.

Hisham the court jester who married a princess must have forgotten who was responsible for letting loose the enemy. It was the enemy from within. You have to terminate the enemy from within first before you can kick ass with the enemy from outside. He must have drank water from the cest pool to think like this.

Hello all,

I agree with coolrhino. I think it is a good way by making a new reformation, but it must be done within the party. based on the current situation, controversial conspiracy within the UMNO party is done by the opposition parties to get the members misjudge by the isuues and the situations.

Pak Lah also is not actually should be blame for the current issues emerged lately.

Because Pak Lah is a little generous and humble in his leadership, one should not overreact towards his attitude of being kind and more tolerant to the public.
