Anwar Wants Police To Establish Certain Facts Before Giving Blood Sample

MELAKA, July 19 (Bernama) -- Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) advisor Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, who is under police probe for alleged sodomy, said Friday night he wanted police to establish certain facts before he would give a blood sample for DNA tests.
This were how he, with a back problem, could have sodomised a healthy 23-year-old youth, where the alleged sodomy took place and who were the witnesses.
He said this when speaking at a political gathering attended by some 1,000 people in Cheng here.
Anwar refused to give a blood sample when he was taken to the Kuala Lumpur Hospital on Wednesday night, protesting that he had no faith in the system as DNA evidence obtained by the police in his sodomy case 10 years was allegedly fabricated.
Deputy Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Ismail Omar told a news conference on Wednesday that police were looking at obtaining a court order to compel Anwar to give his blood sample for DNA tests.

tunku : how can police tolerate all these crap?? who is anwar to demand things from the police? is he above the law? all of a sudden he's having severe back pain. where was the pain all these while before the accusation? he was dancing on stages and now back pain? what a cheap crap.

shouldn't all these challenges come up during trial? and he's now saying that the DNA from the trial 10years ago was fabricated, does this not contradict his supporters who bising about the police can just reuse the DNA sample from the previous trial? he's really treating himself above the law.

Check with any DNA expert, one's DNA is the same forever, so there is no need for another DNA "extraction".

Many would disagree with me, but fairness is key.
