Kimma applies to join BN for sixth time

KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Indian Muslim Congress (Kimma) will organise a protest if its application to join Barisan Nasional is rejected again.
Its president Muhammed Ali Naina Mohd said that they had applied to be Barisan Nasional members five times, but had been rejected every time.
“We will send in another application within this month. If nothing is done, we will gather 10,000 members and hand a memorandum to the PM’s office,” he told a press conference after the launch of its new office in Sentul here yesterday.
Muhammed said the Indian Muslim community did not have a platform to voice their grievances as there were no Indian Muslim councillors, senators or MPs from Kimma.
Asked if they had considered joining the Pakatan Rakyat government, he said it “is under consideration” but they had never applied.

tunku : Kimma can only join after samy vellu resign, till then it would be very difficult for them as samy will make sure no other indian base party joins bn.

Salam Tunku,

BN President (before and present) and
the component members may have
his/their reasons for rejecting KIMMA
applications.

KIMMA is going to hand in a memo to
the PM this time around.
For the last 5 applications were they
during the previous government?

If the present BN is going to allow
this, I'm sure there'll be Chinese
Muslims, Christians and other
religious bodies want to follow suit.

As it is Kayveas Party already in.
Now he's very quite.

Unless of course KIMMA is Abdullah's
staunch supporter.
10,000 members ...hmm.
Only God knows.

Hello tunku,

Perhaps Kinma will have to wait for the next term to join BN. Because Samyy Velu is going to hold his president seat to death. I'm sure of it.

Come on Sammy. You should just retire and let the new generation to lead the party. I doubt that your reputation will ended up like DS Ong Ka ting.

Jangan melatah jika Kimma jadi ahli Pakatan Rakyat. BN jual mahal sangat. Ada beza antara IPF dan Kimma. Dan MIC tidak mewakili orang-orang India Islam yang tidak dapat menyertai UMNO; lainlah Dr M, beliau dapat masuk UMNO.
