KUALA LUMPUR, July 10 (Bernama) -- Datuk Seri Najib Tun Abdul Razak said he was very touched with Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi's willingness to hand over the posts of Umno president and Barisan Nasional (BN) chairman to him in mid-2010.The Deputy Prime Minister said the decision made by the Prime Minister was not something easy.
"Today starts an orderly and neat power transition process according to Umno traditions when the Prime Minister gave the confidence in me to become the successor. "It is not easy to relinquish a post but it was made having regard to public opinion. I feel touched and fortunate when the Right Honourable gave the trust to me," he told reporters after the Umno Supreme Council meeting and special briefing for the party's divisional leaders here Thursday.
tunku : the grassroot did not expect this from you najib.you always want to play safe and i can be sure now that you will lose their support from now on.before this you directed you mans to push the divisions to nominate you as president but suddenly you turn 360 degrees.for you 2 years is nothing but for the rakyat it's something like 20 years in hell.
Najib said his relationship with Abdullah was very close throughout and hoped this would continue because Umno needed solid support from past and present leaders and its members.
"The leadership process can be made in good ways without disregarding traditions or something which gives a negative image to Umno or the voters," he said.
He said that during the power transition period, "the Prime Minister will determine the role and plan" and he would always regard Abdullah as his boss.
Najib also announced his readiness to defend his deputy president's post in Umno's December elections and hoped for a solid support from party members.
"I am asking for a solid support given to the Prime Minister's nomination as party president and I appeal for the transition plan to be accepted by the party because it is the party's voice that will determine everything," he said.
tunku : those who nominates pak lah as president will be the one who will put umno's future in the dark.as for najib he can start dreaming from now on to be pm in june 2010 but he should not forget anything can happen from now to june 2010.najib you betrayed us but there is still time for you to make changes or else you will be cursed.

Of course he is touched by the statements made by AAB. Who won't?
AAB feels like he is forced to step down form the title but he is asking for a moment time so that he can clear his name and give the seats to the next successor in good conditions.
By 2 years, we wont know what will be changed. Perhaps he will turn something interesting to the country. Who knows?
Everybody speculates negatively towards him just because he made few mistakes in the past 5 years of his service. Come on, be patient everyone. He is going to make reformation like he promise to us in 2003. Indeed, he have to realize it while he still have this short time left.
So the next successor will be DS Najib T Razak in 2 years time. Its going to be a military revolution!!

Pak Lah tidak berminat dengan soal menjaga airmuka kerana beliau lebih pentingkan apa yang perlu beliau lakukan untuk menyediakan negara sebelum peralihan kuasa.
Biarlah orang nak tepuk ke, orang nak nangis ke, yang penting Pak Lah akan menjalakan tugasnya sebagai PM dalam 2 tahun lagi.

sedarlah, pak lah minta talian hayat sebab kalau dia pergi sekarang, musibah akan menimpa keluarganya, byk kes yg perlu ditutup, scomi perlu dibela, kj perlu dibela dan 2 tahun cukup utk dia kaut harta negara utk 2-3 keturunannya nanti.
