No-Confidence Motion A Political Gimmick - Khairy

KUALA LUMPUR, July 10 (Bernama) -- The attempt by the opposition to table a motion of no-confidence against Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi is a mere political gimmick to divert the people's attention on the problem faced by Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) advisor Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
"After the police report was lodged against him, Anwar was looking for 1,001 reasons to divert the people's attention and I believe the no-confidence motion is one of them," said Umno Youth vice chief Khairy Jamaluddin.
Khairy said he did not know the basis of the emergency motion of no-confidence filed against Prime Minister at the Dewan Rakyat Speaker's office Thursday as there was no leadership crisis in the country.
"We have enough majority, very big and there is no leadership crisis in the government," he told reporters after attending a close-door briefing by Umno president and deputy president to Umno divisional leaders as well as leaders of the party's three wings -- Wanita, Youth and Puteri -- at Dewan Merdeka, Putra World Trade Centre here Thursday.

Hello tunku,

KJ has no credibility in defending his father in law. Nevertheless he is the person doing all the dirty works in the politic scenery, which is why public have bad impression on AAB too.

Yes the no-confidence motion is just a political gimmick to distract the public's attention against the government action in focusing on Anwar's case sodomy.

Anwar's is getting desperate because Najib will be the next PM by september 16.

The people who are desperate for "power" will be the ones who will be the most unhappy, proactive and will try to disrupt the peaceful handover in anyway possible.

Well, the no-confidence vote is an obvious, over the top attempt to cover Anwar's recent sodomy case.
The PKR has no other tricks up their sleeves to play, they have to resort to creating havoc in the political area.

So if Pak Lah has to go and Anwar is a moron, who comes in place? and what do u have to show that whoever replacing Pak Lah has the balls and the credibility to do the job and do an amazing job pronto?

it's a waste of time, but while they're at it, might as well hog some lime-light. to file for no confidence motion but not seeking for a vote on it, how else to explain it but their desperation and their penchant for drama and diversion? wanna highlight the grievances of the people? do a decent job in the states u're running now and prove urself that way, that's all it takes.
