KUALA LUMPUR: A former vice-chairman of Transparency International’s Board of Directors Tunku Abdul Aziz Ibrahim has joined the DAP and been appointed the party’s vice-chairman.
The announcement of Tunku Abdul Aziz’s appointment as party member and vice-chairman was made by DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng on Sunday at the party’s two-day 15th National Congress here.
Speaking at a press conference after the announcement, Tunku Abdul Aziz said although he became a DAP member only on Saturday, he had been monitoring the party’s progress, “without their knowledge” for the past 20 years.
“I am a brand new member. The decision to join the party was taken a long time ago, but only yesterday (Saturday) I signed the application form. - Bernama

if he's "true" towards the progress of the party, then the position is not the thing to consider when joining the party.he still can be the ordinary member and support the party.perhaps this is just another political tactic by DAP.
Must say that Tunku Abdul Aziz is a well respected person, known for his strong views on several matters, apart from his "flowery" English.
