An Umno veteran today lodge a complaint against party president Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and deputy president Najib Abdul Razak with the Anti-Corruption Agency (ACA) for alleged abuse of power.The complainant, former Umno youth exco Mazlan Harun, claimed that both Abdullah and Najib had abused government machineries to garner support among Umno members in a bid to sustain their position in the party in the coming party elections.
The complaint was based on an open letter written by Umno Petaling Jaya Selatan division chief Zahar Hashim and addressed to the party's secretary general demanding that both Abdullah and Najib be disciplined for allegedly abusing their power.
tunku: we hope ACA will really look into this matter, don't because it's the big boss, just close an eye.

everyone hopes that the ACA will do a transparent and thorough investigation on this matter.but what after the investigation is done and Pak Lah is found not guilty?.i'm sure his haters gonna say "alaa...boleh la lepas sebab BPR dalam tangan dia".
but what more interesting is Mazalan Harun's father.his father used to be found guily as charged of bribery.then later got released after Tun Dr.Mahathir took over as Prime Minister after "pengampunan" by Her Royal Highness.so,is this a scam to trap Pak Lah and to "balas jasa baik" Tun Dr.Mahathir?

Lets see how the new-reformed ACA will investigate this case. This will put AAB's credibility on the track, as well as the spanking new ACA.
More threats to the AAB. Poor him. This is similar to the SD made by RPK and Bala, accusing people without any strong evidences. I suggest Mazlan buy out SD, its even better.

Facts are facts; it does not matter kalau ada konspirasi Mahathir atau konspirasi si balak siam. To PM, so what, he has already got his objective executed. He doesn’t care about what’s in the UMNO constitution as he doesn’t care about opinion polls; he’ll get others to ratify/ justify his actions or find other excuses. So in this case, clearly PM failed to provide the leadership by example to UMNO grassroots. Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely!
I wonder about the ACA, PM seemed to be using them a lot these days. The ACA seems to go after the small fries like the high cost in the Proton maintenance but big ones like this and of coarse Wang Ehsan Trengganu, Monsoon Cup, Crystal Mosque, Agusta and many many more; fat hopes. And yet PM wants to reform the ACA; all part of his scheme in putting the ACA in his pocket. It’s all a big bluff, wayang kulit when it comes to PM and of coarse his son, SIL and his corrupted defacto law Minister.
Any way, it’s a commendable effort by Dato Zahar Hashim/ Dato Mazlan Harun and the Mubarak camp; hope other UMNO grassroots will join in the fray and give full support so that it is not seen as an attempt to discredit PM by a small group of dissidents.

So, no surprise about this so called probe.
Like Zieza's conspiracy theory. Not only Anwar Ibrahim is facing it, but also Pak Lah despite him being the PM.
Looking back prior to 2003, I don't think we would be able to have so many blogs like this. Surely most of us, if this happened pre-2003, will be detained under ISA. But not under Pak Lah's administration.
At least now critics can be written, regardless whether being heard or not, not like before whence nobody dared to.
