Saiful blogs about overseas trips

Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan has claimed that he accompanied PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim to three overseas trip this year alone.
According to a post in his blog yesterday, the former aide said he accompanied Anwar to Hong Kong in early May, Bangkok at the end of the same month and to Singapore from June 16 to 18.
This is the first time details concerning his overseas trips have been released by Saiful who has kept an extremely low profile since the allegations were lodged.
In an interview with Malaysiakini last month, Anwar said that Saiful and a number of his aides took turns to go with him on overseas trips.
However, Saiful did not comment on the leaked medical report from Hospital Pusrawi which found no evidence of sodomy when a doctor did a medical examination on him four hours before he made his police report.
On June 28, the 23-year-old lodged a police report alleging that Anwar had sodomised him at a Damansara condominium.
The former deputy prime minister was subsequently arrested, questioned and held for one night before he was released on bail on July 17.
In his blog post entitled, "Tasks as a former 'coffee boy' to Anwar”, Saiful listed his duties to include assisting PKR chief of staff Ibrahim Yaacob in arranging Anwar’s schedule.
Saiful also said he was tasked with arranging clandestine meetings for example with parliamentarians who want to cross over to PKR and this was held in Desa Damansara condominium.
He alleges that the property belongs to a PAS branch member or leader.
“The rest will be revealed in court later. Please be patient. It is up to you whether you believe me or not or ask Anwar to explain if this is all true or not,” he wrote at 2.29pm yesterday.
“As promised, I will swear in due time since I’ve been informed that the investigations are complete.
“I pray the Attorney-General’s Chambers will take up this case because I want justice,” he added.
'Good luck' in Permatang Pauh
Two days ago, Saiful’s lawyer Zamri Idrus said his client will swear on the Quran to prove he is telling the truth in being sodomised by Anwar.
“Saiful is willing to swear on the Quran. If the ulama says he has to use the Quran, we will use it,” said Zamri was quoted as saying.
Anwar was recently at the Federal Territories Islamic Affairs Department (Jawi) to give a statement in regards to his complaint over the sodomy allegations.
This was a follow-up to the qazaf lodged by Anwar which is to request a probe into ‘false allegations' pertaining to adultery or sexual misconduct under Islamic law.
Saiful also briefly wished Anwar ‘good luck’ in contesting for the Permatang Pauh by-election.
PKR president and opposition leader Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail resigned from her parliamentary seat two days ago to pave way for Anwar’s entry back into the august House.
Anwar - who is seeking to make a parliamentary comeback after a 10-year absence - has been shopping for a seat to contest after the expiry of a five-year ban from active politics.
The Election Commission will be required to call a by-election within 60 days.
Meanwhile, Home Minister Syed Hamid Albar confirmed that the police investigations into the sodomy complaint against Anwar have been completed and the papers are now with the Attorney-General's Chambers for further action.
