Peace Malaysia Team Advised Against Entering Gaza

CAIRO, Feb 10 (Bernama) -- Medical supplies contributed by Malaysians for residents in the Gaza strip will be sent to them through the Palestinian Red Cross Society, Peace Malaysia coordinator Datuk Mukhriz Mahathir said.
He said the Peace Malaysia team would not be able to deliver the supplies as planned as they had been advised against entering the Gaza strip for safety reasons.
"The Peace Malaysia team has been advised by Palestinian Ambassador to Egypt Munther Ezzidin Al-Dajani against entering the Gaza strip for safety reasons, but the mission to send the medical supplies for the 1.5 million residents in Gaza will proceed as scheduled," he told Bernama after meeting Munther at the Palestinian Embassy here.
He said the supplies would be handed to Dr Salah A. El Khaldi from the Palestinian Health Ministry to be sent to the Palestinian Red Cross Society for distribution to 198 emergency clinics in Gaza.
Today, Mukhriz also handed food, clothing and toys contributed by Raja Zarith Sofia Sultan Idris from the Malaysia Red Crescent Society and Cheras Umno to be distributed to Palestinian children at the Palestine Hospital.

tunku : at least mukhriz is brave enough like his father who went there compare to one guy who was just showing that he was hero in palestine's issue in KL's streets.
