Pak Lah provides favourable account on administration’s performance

BANGI: Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi has given a favourable “report card” on the performance of his administration since the last general election in 2004.
Expressing his satisfaction, the Prime Minister said most policies had been implemented and projects were on track.
“We have carried out our duties and responsibilities on many things desired by the people. The ministers have implemented many policies that take into consideration issues that are important to the people and attract their attention.
“We have also dealt with issues which bother the rakyat and cause them unease,” he told reporters after launching the Islam Hadhari Institute, the Syeikh Abdullah Fahim Chair, and the biography of former Chief Secretary to the Government Tun Abdullah Mohd Salleh at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM).
He noted that almost all projects under the 9th Malaysia Plan had got off the ground.
“Some will take more time before we can see results, such as developing quality human capital although the infrastructure has already been put in place, while for others we see the results faster, like in the construction of buildings and departmental stores,” he said.
Abdullah said the Government had also managed to reduce poverty and hardcore poverty through various projects.
On the five corridors launched by the Government, he stressed that these were to achieve balanced development in all areas of the country, provide opportunities to the people, spur economic growth, industrialise the agricultural sector and generate new sources of income.
He said the Government had done a lot to benefit both the public and private sectors.
“We have transformed GLC (government-linked companies) through many ways.
“We have improved the public service and the delivery system. We will continue to improve as there are still many aspects of the administration that can be improved,'' he said.

tunku : waaallaauuuuuu weh, puji diri sendiri nampak.I have done that, i have done this etc. i hope the rakyat can see the reality.
