Pak Lah Supporters Club Joining Election Campaign

BUTTERWORTH, Feb 23 (Bernama) -- The Pak Lah Supporters Club, set up two years ago, will join in the campaign to ensure a big victory for Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi in the March 8 election.
Its 43-year-old chairman, Jaafar Majid, said 100 members of the club would stay in Kepala Batas, where Abdullah is standing for the eighth term, throughout the campaign period.
The club now had 300 members, he told reporters after a gathering to welcome Abdullah who returned here Saturday to submit his nomination papers at the Millennium Hall in Kepala Batas tomorrow.
In the election, the Barisan Nasional chairman and Umno president, is expected to face Pas candidate Subri Arshad.

tunku : for the first time we have supporter club for prime minister.why a pm need a supporter club? Is he not popular enough? the best part is this club which has been set up 2 years ago only had 300 membership.I think Jac Victor's supporter club has more members.
