No helping hand from Hindraf, says detainee’s wife

KLANG: The wife of Internal Security Act (ISA) detainee and Hindu Rights Action Force coordinator K. Vasantha Kumar says most of her husband’s Hindraf associates have abandoned her and her two daughters.
“I am both disappointed and saddened as I have been left in the lurch and receive no help or moral support from my husband’s Hindraf counterparts,” said K. Vickneswary.
Vasantha Kumar was detained under the ISA in December last year, together with four other Hindraf members, R. Kengadharan, M. Manoharan, V. Ganabatirau, and P. Uthayakumar.
Vickneswary said apart from two of her husband’s old friends, and Ganabathirau’s brother V. Raidu, none of the people currently front-lining Hindraf had called or visited her.
“One of my husband’s friends S. Sivalingam has been very supportive and is the one that I turn to when in need,” she said.
Vickneswary added that it was a struggle for her to travel with her two daughters to the Kamunting detention centre in Taiping every weekend to visit Vasantha Kumar, as she had to find her own way there.
According to Vickneswary, her husband was also disappointed when she told him that only one or two of his Hindraf friends’ had bothered to find out how she and their two children were doing.
Vickneswary also said she was not receiving any financial aid from Hindraf and added that she sometimes felt that her husband’s efforts and sacrifices were in vain.
tunku : where is "sivaji the boss" , or he's busy with the sodomy allegation. what about the state representative, the YB Uthayakumar's help centre? i guess vickneswary should turn to samy vellu now, i am 100% sure samy will support your expenses.
