Perak MB Keeps Mum Over Karpal Singh's Issue

IPOH, May 8 (Bernama) --- Perak Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin has opted to keep mum on DAP chairman Karpal Singh's controversial statement in questioning the prerogative of the Sultan of Perak, Sultan Azlan Shah, in asking for the reinstatement of Datuk Jamry Sury as Perak Islamic Religious Affairs Department director.
When approached by reporters after a meeting with representatives of non-governmental organisations here Thursday, Mohammad Nizar declined to comment on the matter.
Wednesday, Pangkor assemblyman Datuk Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir called on the Menteri Besar to give the state government's stand on the matter since Karpal's insolent behaviour had hurt the feelings of the people.
Asked when he would have an audience with the Perak Sultan to convey his apology to the Ruler, Mohammad Nizar said he had not been given the date for the audience.

tunku : what to expect from DAP's puppet ? he can't support nor condemn karpal's statement as if he support then he'll be in crisis with the sultan and if he condemn karpal, he'll be 'washed' by dap.

We cant blame him..really. He is without doubt and questioning, a mere puppet put on show by the joint corporation of DAP and PKR.

PAS in whole, should had more dignities in this wedding of circumstances by not accepting this MB post at the first place. At least PAS can keeps its identity and trust of representing both Malay and Moslem, truly intact. And not been making mockery of.

For Nizar, he has to make a stand. Perak's Moslems and Malays are following this scenario and involvement of Karpal very..very close and anxiously.

Nizar is the MB of Perak and by the same virtue too, like it or not, he represents the majority race in Perak, which is the Malay. And he should bears that in mind. Cos the problem does not ends here. There shall be others alike in time to come in Perak. And there shall be a time when he has to choose among being a MB, a coalition leader, a leader of the people of Perak and representative of PAS. Then we shall see what truth lies ahead.
