PM To Visit Sabah End Of This Month To Address Outstanding Issues

PUTRAJAYA, May 16 (Bernama) -- Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi is to visit Sabah end of this month to address outstanding issues in the state.
Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Tan Sri Bernard Dompok said the prime minister had given an indication for the visit.
Current issues in the state include the possibility of Sabah Barisan Nasional (BN) members of parliament defecting to the opposition, MPs unhappy with the Cabinet representation, infrastructure development and illegal immigrants.
These issues were raised in the Dewan Rakyat recently.
Dompok, who is also United Pasok Momogun Kadazandusun and Murut Organisation (Upko) president, said the party's four MPs had no intention of leaving BN although they acknowledged the frustrations expressed by some MPs over the issues.
"The frustration is real but no one has any intention to leave (BN)," he told reporters.
He also confirmed the four Upko MPs had not been approached by opposition leaders to dump BN.
On the infrastructure development issue, Dompok said Sabah needed 5,000km of road and with just RM500 million allocation under the Ninth Malaysia Plan, the state would have to wait for another 50 years to achieve the target.
The state also needs RM1.8 billion in the next two years to tackle the power supply problem, he added.

tunku : i wonder why the frustration came after offers from anwar not earlier.anyway, pak lah is going to counter offer, so sabah can demand whatever they want but don't go over the limit.better get something than nothing.we hope sabah will demand that the post of rural minister be given to sabahan as the minister will know better what to develop in sabah and sarawak.mat taib who is not a member of parliament should resign .he is a thorn in umno and bn.

I think what Tun had said about losing 2/3 majority in parliment is totally correct. See when we are weak even our own BN component parties taking advantage of us. That only Sabah we do not see what Kuching gonna demand after Sabah. It looks like our Pak Lah could not focus on his job anymore. Just imagine if Pak Lah being occupied by this issue and also with this coming December UMNO election what else to do for the rest of the year. What a waste of time. Whilst Pak Lah still busy addressing this internal BN matters all Pakatan states are organizing their states in order. So unless we are solving real issue of what still wrong with UMNO others issues would keep surfacing from time to time. We can not stay focus. We would become weaker in the Rakyat point of view. That dangerous.

Saya sungguh mengharapkan Anwar buat satu tawaran yang mengiurkan kepada DSAAB untuk melompat ke PR

"Tiada Suruhanjaya akan ditubuhkan untuk menyiasat wang ehsan (6 Billion missing, if what Abe Derih said is true, ECM Libra, MV Augusta, Scenic Bridge, BSA Tahir dll."

Apakata bawa sekali SIL, Abg Jo, serta Johnny Aziz.

Sekarang nie musim mengugut DSAAB. :)Minta apa saja lah...jamin dapat, as long as jgn minta dia lepaskan jawatan PM!!
