Chua Jui Meng Says Political Comeback Will Not Be Easy For Him

SUBANG JAYA, May 2 (Bernama) -- Former MCA vice president Datuk Chua Jui Meng said he is not ruling out the possibility of contesting the top post in the coming MCA election, but admitted that making a political comeback will not be easy for him.
"I want to help, but I have not make any decision on what I want to do in politics," he told a press conference before attending the opening ceremony of the Malaysia-India Economic Conference 2008 here Friday.
The ceremony was attended among others by Indian High Commissioner to Malaysia Ashok Kantha, Small-and-Medium Industries Association of Malaysia (SMIAM) national president Chua Tiam Wee and Malaysian Associated Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (MAICCI) president Datuk Pardip Kumar Kukreja.
The former Health Minister said after spending 40 years in politics, he now needs to review whether he was still relevant in MCA and decide whether he should contest any post in the coming party election.
Chua, who is also the Bakri MCA Division Chief, had on April 15 announced that he might contest the MCA top post in the Oct 18 party election.
A day later another former MCA vice president Datuk Seri Chua Soi Lek was reported as saying that he might also challenge party president Dato Seri Ong Ka Ting in the party election.

tunku : anthing is possible right now, even lim ah lek can make a comeback if he wants too as the mca leadership right now is at its weakest.but when comes to morale i guess chua soi lek should not contest anymore, enough.we don't want to see a party president's porno vcd around.
