MV Rachel Corrie Will Continue Mission To Gaza - Mukhriz

KUALA LUMPUR, June 2 (Bernama) -- The Perdana Global Peace Organisation's (PGPO) ship, MV Rachel Corrie, will continue its journey to deliver the humanitarian aid for the Palestinians in Gaza, said its advisor Datuk Mukhriz Tun Dr Mahathir.
Although the Mavi Marmara, one of the nine ships in the Gaza-bound humanitarian aid flotilla, was attacked by the Israeli commandos on May 31, he said he hoped the MV Rachel Corrie would be given safe passage to Gaza.
Mukhriz, who is also the Member of Parliament for Jerlun, said this in an interview on Astro's Awani television channel tonight.
Mukhriz also asked the public to give their comments and pledge support to the humanitarian mission at www.perdana4peace.org.
On May 30, three ships from the PGPO including the MV Rachel Corrie left the Port of Malta to deliver humanitarian aid to the Gaza Peninsula.
Among those on board the Rachel Corrie are Parit Member of Parliament Mohd Nizar Zakaria, PGPO representatives Shamsul Akmar Musa Kamal, Matthias Chang and two media representatives from the TV3 television station.
The two other PGPO ships are 'Challenger 1' and 'Challenger 2'.
