SO the battle in court of law has begun with Pakatan Rakyat (PR)
filing suits against the Election Commission (EC) for purported
irregularities, fraud and cheats that made them the loser in the
recently concluded 13th general election.
In a few weeks, the court will begin hearing the cases and by one or two months’ time, we will know the rulings.
In a few weeks, the court will begin hearing the cases and by one or two months’ time, we will know the rulings.
Very interesting because the democratic process of election, a
political system that has been practiced since Independent and in
developed countries, practiced before we Malaysians gained Independence,
is now under trial in the court.
All because of one man Anwar Ibrahim who claimed the ruling BN and
EC got together to cheat the oppositions of their victory – one wonders
why only Anwar when PAS and DAP had accepted the result and the two
parties have been participating in the election decades ago before PKR
was born.
Malaysians and the whole world know Anwar is a sore loser as his
ambition to be the Prime Minister was so very near but yet was very far
when the result of the general election was announced with BN emerging
as victor.
Anwar had been feeding the foreign media and of course his ‘foreign
masters’ that he was on the winning streak but had to change the story
when the official result was announced for fear of being abandoned and
left alone.
To make his story more realistic, he got his people to organize
rallies around the country claiming of frauds and cheats in the general
election so that his ‘foreign masters’ will believe him and not abandon
him.
Then he got his people and the parties to file cases in the court
which, to the eyes of foreigners, is the truth because if a person lie,
he would go to such extent.
Now Malaysians who know his lies and bluffs wonder – will he accept the rulings of the courts?
If the courts rule that EC is on the right track – meaning no frauds and cheats – will Anwar accept that?
Or will he go to the streets in a big big way, bigger than the
present rallies, to denounce the courts’ rulings? Will he tell
Malaysians and the world and of course, his foreign masters that the
courts are bias and take sides?
Will this rallies denouncing the courts rulings the real beginning
of the ‘Arab Spring’ that he had wanted all along because
democratically, he already knew Malaysians rejected him.
The police and relevant authorities should be wary of this man’s
action and should act before the streets become Anwar’s platform to
topple the duly elected government of the day.
