Perlis mufti Juanda Jaya to contest Kangar parliamentary seat under PKR banner

Perlis mufti Dr Juanda Jaya (pix) will contest the Kangar parliamentary seat under the PKR banner in the May 5 13th general election.
State PKR chairman Mohd Faisol Abdul Rahman said with Dr Juanda's candidacy, the party was confident PKR would win the Barisan Nasional stronghold.
"Kangar is the biggest parliamentary seat in the state with around 50,000 voters, and we are optimistic for victory,” he said when contacted here Monday.
Dr Juanda, a Sarawakian, was earlier reported to be among those being wooed by both the Barisan Nasional and Pakatan Rakyat coalitions.
The incumbent Kangar MP is Barisan stalwart Datuk Seri Mohd Radzi Sheikh Ahmad, who won the seat when he defeated PKR candidate Tunku Abdul Rahman Tunku Ismail by a majority of more than 13,600 votes in the 2008 general election.

tunku : i have personally met this mufti last year in April.....and he condemned Anwar Ibrahim and Pas so much......no words for him if this news is true.
