GE13: Police probe blogger Milo Suam for public mischief

The owner of the blog Milo Suam will be investigated for election offences including creating public mischief and spreading false information, says Bukit Aman
Commercial CID director Datuk Syed Ismail Syed Azizan said the Police Integrated Media Action Plan unit tracked the owner of Milo Suam who claimed that policemen had voted earlier than expected.
The blog owner will be investigated under the Elections Act 1958, the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998 and Section 505 of the Penal Code for uttering statements that tantamount to mischief.
Syed Ismail said police managed to detect the spread of rumours in the print and electronic media fast via the unit.
The unit was formed last year has staff on duty 24 hours daily to monitor and track false information online, including social sites.
