Speed up all flood alleviation projects in KL, says PM

KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi wants all flood mitigation projects and construction of water retention ponds in the city be completed ahead of schedule.
Government officials should give top priority to the matter and carry out the works without delay, he said at a briefing on Sunday's flash floods at the Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur (DBKL) security and enforcement department headquarters at Jalan Tun Razak here Monday.
During the 45-minute long briefing, Deputy Federal Territories Minister Datuk Wira Abu Seman Yusop gave Abdullah detailed information on the causes of the floods and plans being made to prevent such a recurrence.

tunku : the flood like yesterday happened in june 2003 too, by right you should have done something then or when you took over in Oct 2003.I guess yo must be sleeping a lot or your advisor have forgotten to advice you on this matter.no need to show your angry face in tv(tv3).the reporter said although you were just married you took time off to get hands on information on the flood. well you're the prime minister and we don't care if you are just married 5 minutes ago, the country is your top priority.please ask your spin doctor don't mentioned again that although you're just married you still take time to drop in to check on some issues, that's why you were elected for.
