Media Expose' On Faults Good For People, Says Zam

LANGKAWI, June 5 (Bernama) -- Media expose' on faults at government buildings and public property as a result of the openness of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi's government, is good for the people, said Information Minister Datuk Seri Zainuddin Maidin.
He said such expose' would ensure the concerned parties would be "kept on their toes" and did their work properly.
He also believed that the exposures would enable public complaints on faulty construction and sloppy maintenance to be swiftly attended.
"I hope all parties will learn from the expose' made by the media and view it as something positive in the effort to render the best service for the people," he told reporters after visiting the Langkawi FM radio station here today.
Zainuddin said the prime minister's openness and transparency also should not be seen from the political perspective only, but from all angles to ensure public interests were protected.

tunku : yes, media expose on faults indeed very good for the people but also expose of corrupt leaders, their malpractice ect. zam was saying that the media exposes are mainly because of the openness of pak lah, does this means that zam is saying that, the previous prime ministers didn't allow the media to expose anything? is it true that pak lah is really open?it's all for us to explore the situation.
