All Contractors Have A Share Of The Pie, No One Sidelined, Says Nor

KUALA LUMPUR, June 13 (Bernama) -- No contractor has been sidelined from development projects because of the fair and transparent way the government has distributed them, Second Finance Minister Tan Sri Nor Mohamed Yakcop said tonight.
Claims some time ago about contractors unable to secure government projects, especially Class F contractors, are no longer valid because every one of them has received a fair share, he stressed.
"Last year, there was no Class F contractor who didn't get a project; everybody had one, some got more than one," he said in a live interview over RTM1.
Nor Mohamed also said the development projects are tendered out in a fair and just manner, through a balloting system like in Terengganu and Penang, which he personally officiated.
He pointed out that the government's focus on infrastructure since the country's independence is one of the reasons for its dynamic progress as this helped to draw and sustain investments.
"This is one of the many wise actions of our leadership over the last 50 years, because we ensured that there was always sufficient allocations for a comprehensive infrastructure," he said.
This gave both domestic and foreign investors the confidence to come in and help further the country's progress, especially in modern technology, he added.

tunku : what about other class, is everyone get share of the pie? i guess not.many closing up, got "cable" will survive, no "cable" DIE.where is the transparency and open tenders??? open tender for small jobs and big jobs all direct "nego" and someone will make a fortune out of it.
