RM400mil rail investment from China shows confidence in Govt

The setting up of the RM400mil rail equipment manufacturing complex in Perak shows the confidence that China-based China Southern Rail (CSR) Group has in the Government.
Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said the investment by CSR here for the project shows their long-term commitment to work together with the Government.
"This investment did not happen on its own.
"It is realised through the Government's national transformation policy and with proper planning," he said during the groundbreaking ceremony of the development of an advance railway engineering and technology project here on Tuesday.
"Projects will not come to fruition without a good transformation policy," he stressed.
Najib also said the cooperation with CSR was also a reflection of the good ties between both countries.
"The diplomatic ties has started since my father's time," he said.
"This relation continue to grow from strength to strength," he said, adding that China was Malaysia's biggest trading partner.
