Deputy Inspector General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar said such allegations were completely baseless.
"What I can say is that there is no truth in such claims," he told Bernama, when contacted today.
It was reported that an opposition leader had allegedly made such a claim during a political campaign in Kulai, Johor on Tuesday.
