The MCA has placed a second order for Wen Wen, its panda-like
election mascot, as the initial batch has depleted since it was launched
just 10 days ago.
Wen, which means "stability" in Mandarin, is in line with the MCA's election slogan of "Stability above Chaos".
"The
first batch of the stock has almost run out now; we distributed it to
all the states. I hope the new order will arrive in these few days,"
said MCA Publicity Bureau chief Datuk Heng Seai Kie.
Heng said the panda was also chosen as the mascot to reflect the strong bilateral ties between Malaysia and China.
The
cute little mascot, with the 1Malaysia logo emblazoned on its chest,
was launched on Apr 3 and sells for RM4 each along with a key chain.
