KOTA BHARU: Kelantan menteri besar Datuk Hj Nik Aziz Nik Mat said, if given the opportunity, Pakatan Rakyat could still launch its plan to topple the existing federal government.
However, he said Pakatan leaders must work together to face their enemies outside the pact in order to bring about political stability.
"I personally don't like the phrase 'toppling the government.' I prefer to call it 'taking over the government."
He said during an exclusive interview with Sin Chew Daily in conjunction with the first anniversary of the 8 March political tsunami that he preferred things to "take their natural courses."
Different people have different views on the failed "916 takeover plan" of PKR advisor Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, whether to carry on with the plan or to wait for the voters' mandate come the next general elections.
Nevertheless, Nik Aziz said UMNO is in for a hard time now, and even its members are demanding the establishment of an anti-corruption mechanism within the party itself, a fact that UMNO can never deny.
He said UMNO was to be blamed for what had happened in Perak, citing the example of a few state assemblymen who had disappeared before turning up again to show their support for BN.
"In the end, people are arguing tooth and nail over the constitutional issue.
"Someone has pounded a massive rock along the course of the river of democracy! Perak used to have a freely flowing river of democracy, but when the rock blocks the flow in the upstream, the water floods the riverbanks,
tunku : the senile old man said it clear that if bn members jump ship to pakatan than it's ok but if vice versa then it's illegal/haram etc.if pakatan do it then it's islamic and if umno not islamic.where is the logic.they can topple or take over the government but not bn.he said that the perak fiasco happenned because of bn,the senile old man forgets that it was pkr who started it first.absent minded old man i guess or pretending to be one.he said again that the perak people are in misery now, i don't see they are in misery, what i can see is the perak's pakatan are in misery.
On other Pakatan states
How does Nik Aziz look at the other four states under Pakatan Rakyat a year after the political tsunami?
"I don't want to comment on the performances of other states, but there is no problem with Kelantan.
"Kelantan is probably poorer, but it is politically stable and the people there are enjoying peace."
He said a state must first be stable politically before the people could feel peaceful. Only then could we push ahead our economic programmes as there would be no more finger-pointing and suspicions, nor people with ill intentions.
Nik Aziz said it wouldn't matter if other Pakatan states had no intention to emulate Kelantan state government's Islamic policies.
"I feel reassured that we've seen the emergence of the 'theory of Islamised economy,' a new economic model that's gaining acceptance in the international community.
"This shows the Islamic mode of doing business is still the most solid. I hope that in the future, this new condition will open up the hearts of all people to whole-heartedly accept Islamic policies."
tunku: the other four states has not implement any islamic law especially kedah which are under pas.all these while they have been fooling the people.more liqours and gambling than before. more "rumah urut" than before.economic wise, ZERO. no achievement at all.
PM should stay on
Nik Aziz feels that prime minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahamd Badawi should continue to stay in office after this month.
"We need to respect and love the country's leader, and this respect could never be fabricated.
"What I want to see is that the Malaysian prime minister is clean."
"When we are going overseas, people will ask where we come from; and when we tell them Malaysia, I don't want to hear that cynical tone, 'Oh! Malaysia! I see!'"
tunku : they know that with pak lah around, they can win the next GE easily. the senile and absent minded old man forgotten that he was asking pak lah to resign before the 12th GE. when we go overseas, we tell them that we are from Malaysia, most of them respect us ,proud of our progress and they know out great leaders.you mention to them nik aziz....they say WHAT IS THAT?, not who is that.
Wise not to have dialogue with UMNO
Nik Aziz said PAS had made a wisest decision in its general assembly last June not to hold any more dialogue with UMNO.
"This is the wisest decision we've made."
"I want to thank Allah for giving us a very definite clue. If we accepted the proposal to hold a dialogue with UMNO, or even to harbour the idea of extending the cooperation with them, then we we could have fallen into their trap today.
tunku : and they called him an ulama. as a Muslim he should have dialogues with other Muslim brothers, in fact even with non Muslim we should hold dialogues. that is Islam, not the pas way of Islam. pas Islam is haram to have dialogue with umno.this is the teaching of pas way of Islam.
"UMNO surely has its tricks to fool PAS."
On the earlier proposal by party president Datuk Seri Hadi Awang for Pakatan to form a kerajaan perpaduan (solidarity government) with BN to solve the existing economic crisis and other issues, he said PAS used to be a part of BN before, but very obviously the cooperation then didn't work out quite well.
"When UMNO was frail and pallid, it turned to us for help, and wanted us to join them.
"We sympathised with them and took care of them. But when they regained their vibrance, they turned back and gave us a bite.
"So we have no choice but to kick them away."
He said lamentably that he had too many unhappy experiences when talking about the cooperation between PAS and UMNO.
tunku : what a good muslim nik aziz is. very very good muslim.full of vengeance and anger.
Religion brings about peace
Nik Aziz felt that the best and most reliable way of bringing about peace for all Malaysians was through the work of religion.
However he felt sorry that people had chosen not to go through religion but instead set up their own ideologies such as democratism and socialism.
"As a Muslim, I insist that we must adhere to the religious teachings. Today Malaysia is run by UMNO, a political party employing secularism and dividing politics and religion into two distinct entities."
Nevertheless he found that Malaysians are still unsure about the concept and understanding of Islam.
"That's why PAS is working with a few other political parties to turn Kelantan into a model state."
tunku : and if pakatan rule the country, won't it be secular too as dap and pkr has made it clear that they is no islamic state in malaysia and karpal had said it clear to,over his dead body.who is he trying to fool here.what can a party like pas do,when they have the least seats and voice in pakatan? this old man talk nonsense.day by day he is out of tuning.this is the type of so called ulama who doesn't bring peace but trouble .

Nik Aziz sedang sakit - ulamak sesat.
ini bukan ularmak tapi ular dalam semak.menghuru harakan umat islam dgn fatwa2 yg menguntungkan pihak sendiri
Deminegara has rightly said that their hate for UMNO is more than their love to Islam & Melayu. This so called tok guru dah tertutp mata hati dek keangkuhan kuasa & politik..kesian jadi macam ni pulak bila dah tua renta
Logam
3.Dulu yg mengundi PAS orang Melayu saja.
4.Sekarang yg mengundi UMNO org Melayu saja.
UMNO akan merasa mcm mana PAS rasa dulu.
In all humility, the wisdom of Tok Guru far exceed the cumulative wisdom of all UMNO leaders put together.
the wisdom of a crazy old man with his mad supporters who support him blindly.
you are right tunku, this old man is out of tuning already.
salam. pinjam gambar leh ?
tq
