KUALA LUMPUR, March 3 (Bernama) -- Malaysia Airports Holding Berhad (MAHB) can take legal action against AirAsia to recover airport tax amounting to RM99,881,491 owed by the low-cost-carrier to MAHB as of Jan 31, the Dewan Rakyat was told Monday.
Deputy Transport Minister Datuk Seri Lajim Ukin said at the moment, MAHB was holding discussions with AirAsia to recover the debt.
"If necessary, we do not dismiss taking legal action to recover the money," he said when winding up debate on the motion of thanks for the Royal address on behalf of his ministry.
On the uniforms worn by stewardesses of local airlines, he said the ministry has issued reminders that they must conform to Malaysian requirements.
tunku : RM100mil debts to MAHB, no wonder MAHB is so slow to build the new LCCT.Mr Tony, when are you going to settle the debts ?no wonder they are charging for the check in luggage, may be to settle the debts.

He makes so much by collecting in advance of fares and taxes, Placed in Lehmen Bros Bond and kena burnt.
He collect and when people cancel flight , he never refund airport tax even he had forfeited the fares.
Next time his greedy attitude should be punished.
Just tell airport controllers not to let the plane fly. As they had not got pay for the control tower.
He lost few hundred millions in Lehmen Bond.
Next time MAHB should have a online payment system. We pay direct. No fly no pay.
Pay to TONY, he burnt it off..
