GUA MUSANG: The RM10bn "mini budget" which will be tabled in Parliament on March 10 is not enough to overcome the economic crisis which has affected the country.
Member of Parliament for Gua Musang, Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah, said although the "mini budget" was the best effort undertaken by the government, it was not enough and should be increased to RM30bn.
"The allocations are too small and are difficult to overcome the crisis during the short period," he said at the opening of the annual meeting of the Parent-Teacher Association of Sekolah Kebangsaan Renok Baru here Saturday.
Razaleigh, who is also Gua Musang Umno chief, said he made the proposal after listening to the views of various parties, including economic experts.
"The experts, local and overseas, said the allocation is too small to give a positive effect to overcome the crisis," he said. (Bernama)
tunku : it is too small.as i said earlier minimum should be 20billion.10billion will not help much to boost the economy which is in very bad shape.we can see things are getting worst day by day and still no sign of any recovery yet.at least a minimum of 15billion need to spend on development alone.hope najib will table a bigger stimulus package this tuesday.
