Koh: Give BN Chance To Reform

KUALA LUMPUR, March 16, (Bernama) -- Give Barisan Nasional (BN) another chance to reform and bring about real benefits to the people.
This was the impassioned plea from Gerakan president Tan Sri Dr Koh Tsu Koon to the people.
He said that most in the BN leadership and component parties were aware of the strong message from the voters for change, as expressed in the general election in March last year, and two subsequent by-elections.
"The people can assist and encourage the BN to change by giving BN support in the (upcoming) by-elections. This will give those of us in BN more support and strength to continue the process of reform from within.
"However, it will take some time and effort to bring about real reform in a big coalition of diversed parties representing various communities and interests," Koh said in a statement Monday.
The ruling coalition is facing three by-elections, namely the Bukit Gantang parliamentary seat in Perak, Bukit Selambau state seat in Kedah and Batang Ai state seat in Sarawak.
Koh said the people could monitor to see how BN would actually reform and perform in the next three years and then decide again, at the next general election.
He noted that top leaders like Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak had already said that "BN must change or be changed".

tunku : this is what all the BN leaders should say not keep blaming each other like before.may be the changes in the bn and umno leadership soon has calm things.we don't see people like kayveas shouting anymore.from now on bn should join hands and just hit it out at the enemy with one voice.they should protect each other and should not shut their mouth when one of the member is being attacked.they should attack the enemy together.let give bn a chance to reform.see what they will do and we decide comes next GE.
