Wan Farid Accepts People's Decision

KUALA TERENGGANU, Jan 17 (Bernama) -- Barisan Nasional (BN) candidate Datuk Wan Ahmad Farid Wan Salleh said he accepted the Kuala Terengganu voters' decision in choosing Mohd Abdul Wahid Endut from PAS as their representative in parliament.
He said although he was defeated when he did not receive enough votes to represent them, he thanked the people who had voted for BN in the by-election.
"Although I have not succeeded in this contest, I will work harder to ensure that those who did not vote for BN today, will choose BN in future," he told reporters following his defeat in the by-election.
Appearing calm, Wan Ahmad Farid also thanked the local BN by-election machinery and from outside Terengganu which had campaigned hard for him.
He also congratulated Mohd Abdul Wahid in winning the by-election.
Terengganu Menteri Besar Datuk Ahmad Said, meanwhile, said the state BN accepted the defeat with an open heart and would continue to serve the people to the best of its ability.

tunku : people has decided and they decided that they do not want pak lah and his son in law has puppet in the cabinet.i guess wan farid's lost is blessing in disguise after all.may be wan farid can concentrate being a lawyer in kuala terengganu.

change your image, Farid. I knew you as a lawyer. I knew you as a student in England. Pretending to be humble will not work in politics. when you have this image problem you may not succeed in politics. I could forsee many more within UMNO who will fall like rotten appples soon as they do not have an 'accepted' image among the people. Sorry to say this.

Wan Farid should accept people decision BEFORE the election and not AFTER.

this has been a really good experience for Wan Ahmad Farid.yeah who knows that he might make it in the future.there's almost nothing certain in politics as we all knows it.just accept the defeat as just another phase in life.for sure there's must be someone who have to be defeated.in this case Wan Ahmad Farid had to accept the fact that he's the defeated one.but i hope that's not for long.

there's still hope as long as the light is still on.

win or lose - that's just the way it goes for any competition.what more for an election.BN have to face the music that they lose this time..again.but that doesnt mean that BN had already lose all their supports since there are thousand voter who are still loyal to them.they have to see it at a bright side.

on PAS side, they have to proof that they can manage KT well after this.at least until the next general election.

... when there is a wind of change, the change takes place. The vanquished will fall. It's only after the fall would the vanquished come back in triump. This is the order of life. These are the ups and downs in politics.
