Lim Tells Anwar To Maintain Discipline Of PKR Leaders

PENANG, Jan 2 (Bernama) -- Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) advisor Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim should maintain discipline among PKR leaders to ensure the people's continuous support for Pakatan Rakyat (PR), DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng said today.
He was responding to questions from reporters pertaining to a misunderstanding between some PKR and PAS leaders in Perak which could affect their chances of winning the Kuala Terengganu parliamentary by-election.
Lim, who is Penang Chief Minister, told a press conference at his office, that he would look into the cause of the misunderstanding and would find ways to resolve the matter.
On the candidate fielded by PAS to contest the Kuala Terengganu parliamentary seat, Lim said DAP would give its full support to the candidate picked by PAS.
"...DAP as a component in PR will support and extend our cooperation to ensure a win for the candidate," he added.
PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang announced last night that Wakaf Mempelam Assemblyman Mohd Abdul Wahid Endut would be fielded as PAS candidate in the Kuala Terengganu by-election, which nomination is on Jan 6.
The by-election is held following the death of its Member of Parliament Datuk Razali Ismail on Nov 28 last year.
Polling for the Kuala Terengganu by-election is on Jan 17.

tunku : they should know that pkr has made so many mistakes since march 2008 in the states ruled by the pakatan. but then again they will still hug each other just to maintain the power they are enjoying.if dap has to accept hudud just to be in power, they will. so does pas, even they have to live in a environment full of "kemaksiatan", they will accept it as long as they too enjoy a bit of the power that they have been longing for. as for pkr, they will do anything, promise the moon and stars, change their colours when needed just to be in power.this is all the melodrama by the pakatan.i pity the indians who believes them, now they are starting to realize that they have been used by this people.
