Abdullah To Launch IDFR

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 5 (Bernama) -- Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi will launch the Institute of Diplomacy and Foreign Relations (IDFR) campus at Jalan Wisma Putra, here on Jan 8.
In conjunction with the official launching, the Foreign Ministry will also be organising "Meet the Clients Day" and a publications exhibition, to be participated by, among others, the Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka, Centre for ASEAN Studies, UiTM and the Institute of Occidental Studies, UKM, which will be showcasing their publications.
IDFR in a statement here today said that the general public are invited to attend the various activities from 2 pm to 5 pm at the IDFR's hostel lobby and entrance is free.
IDFR, an agency under the Foreign Ministry, among others conducts training programmes specifically for Malaysian diplomatic officers and also officers from other ministries and government agencies.
It also organises public lectures and round table talks on current issues from time to time.
