Muhyiddin: PM should step down before 2010

SINGAPORE: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi should consider stepping down before 2010 to give Barisan Nasional time to prepare for the next general election, Umno vice-president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin is purported to have said at a conference here.

“I have said it myself that 2010 is too long,” he said in response to a question from a reporter on the sidelines of a Forbes conference in Singapore, Reuters reported.

“The PM may have to rethink whether the deadline is tenable,” said Muhyiddin, who was there in his capacity as International Trade and Industry Minister.

Abdullah promised to hand power over to Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak Razak in 2010, the Reuters report noted.

tunku : not only you(muhyiddin) think that 2010 is too long but majority of malaysian think so and want him to go if not now then at least this december during the umno general assembly.

what the heck is wrong with Muhyiddin.he's mocking Pak Lah but in the same time still have the privelege and comfort of being in the cabinet under Pak Lah's leadership.

that is so rude.

i'm sure Muhyiddin dare not to act like this if Tun Dr. Mahathir is the present Prime Minister.Muhyiddin is totally taking advantage out of Pak Lah's openness.

aku tau kamu Muhyiddin! Memang dah angan-angan nak jadi PM. senyum lebar dia bila Tun masuk UMNO, sebab Muhyiddin tau Tun mesti sokong dia punya!

I'm sensing desperation in Muhyiddin's part to snatch a higher post.
It's good to have an ambition but the way you achieve it will determine whether you are a good politician and leader or not.

Sdr d.r

Atas praktis inilah maka Najib menjadi Timbalan Presiden UMNO.

Muhyiddin is far far much better than Pak Lah, Anwar, Najib and other cowards in UMNO.
