Anwar Meets PAS Leaders

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 23 (Bernama) -- Opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim Tuesday met up with PAS leaders in an effort to convince them that PAS members of parliament (MPs) would not be marginalised should the Pakatan Rakyat (PR) form the next federal government.
Parti Keadilan Rakyat information chief Tian Chua said Anwar, who is also PKR advisor, wanted to impress upon PAS leaders, especially its spiritual leader Datuk Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat and party president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang that Muslim MPs would not be sidelined if the PR gains power.
"We have to do this before proceeding to the next course of action," he told Bernama without revealing what the next course of action would be.
Last week, Anwar issued a Sept 23 deadline to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi to call for an emergency Parliament session in an attempt to move a motion of no-confidence against the government, claiming that he had 31 Barisan Nasional (BN) MPs in the opposition's fold.
However, Abdullah brushed aside the deadline.
Prior to this latest deadline, Anwar had publicly declared that he would take over the government on Sept 16, but that day passed without event.
In KOTA BAHARU, Anwar told reporters that he was still confident of toppling the BN government.
Asked if he would proceed with the no-confidence motion when Parliament reconvenes on Oct 13, he was non-committal.
He also said PKR had commenced talks with former Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Zaid Ibrahim, who resigned from the post last week, about him joining PKR but no firm decision had been taken as yet.

tunku : another lie during ramadhan by anwar and his boy. i hope that pas will not fall into anwar's trap.he is full of lies from head to toe. first it was 16th september, then 23rd september and now finally we have to wait for 13th october.if he really has the numbers, he had discussed all the details with dap and pas, not right now.this shows how he is lying to the whole nation.on the 23rd of september he is still trying to impress pas, what a big joke. they can have zaid ibrahim for free, no problem with that. he is not a mp.

salam,
Tired of all the promises this man made.
If he can't keep his promises on toppling the government which he claim he has a vast experienced in, can we take his word for lowering of fuel price and taking off burden from poor people.
Also the USD 3 Trillion investment he said that was on hold until his day in Putrajaya come.

Dekat sini dia janji lain, dekat sana dia janji lain, esok sampai masa kalau betul dapat pun, mesti lingkup punyalah mereka bercakar. Kalau dah kaki menipu tu, orang mana2 pun dah susah nak percaya.
