Umno Not My Enemy, Says Anwar

PETALING JAYA, Aug 8 (Bernama) -- Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) advisor Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said he never had any animosity towards Umno or hated the party and was open to working together with its leaders for Malay solidarity.
He said the interests of the Malays would always be safeguarded no matter what and that they would not be marginalised in any field.
"I will not budge one bit in this matter but at the same time, will not forsake the interests of the other communities," he said at a ceramah (political talk) here, Thursday night.
He also said his focus for now would be the Permatang Pauh by-election on Aug 26 and would be highlighting economic issues.
About 5,000 people attended the talk.

tunku : can you believe this man?? sometimes he accuses umno as the nation enemy, sometimes he says not umno but its leaders.the next day he will say, not umno and the leaders but the system within umno. actually what is he trying to say? we knows that permatang pauh has 17000 umno members, he will surely want some of their votes there.another dirty tactic by an evil man.no wonder he is just the adviser of pkr,by right he should be the member and president of pkr and not wan azizah.he still hopes to join umno i guess.

I agree with tunku..
Bila Anwar berkata UMNO bukan musuh, seolah-olah ianya satu taktik politik untuk cuba meraih perhatian 17000 ahli UMNO di Permatang Pauh untuk mengundi beliau. Beliau seolah-olah menjilat ludah sendiri.. Nampaknya Anwar flip flop ni macam gelabah dan bimbang takut tak menang pilihanraya kecil nanti. Silap-silap lepas ni, beliau akan berkata "Saya bersedia untuk menjadi ahli UMNO"...

can we trust this man word? is his old constituency live prosperous when he was the money minister?

from what I read about his in lots of blogs people telling me his first fight is about Baling people dying of hunger.. and he was fighting for the people sake.. but once he is on the power rail.. the hunger didn't stop and he didnot bother at all...

can somebody who read politics newspaper for like 20 years past can give me some light on this? last 20 years i was juz 6 yrs old.. and the most newspaper i read is the comic stripe..

i started knowing about politic when i started to attend history classes even if i still hate the history number.. the read is very astonishing for me.

This just another tactic from Anwar to gain votes in Permatang Pauh.
He's exercising any opportunity and possibility to win people's heart.
Another sick display of immature politics played by the ever same Anwar.

Biasalah.

anwar back to being his self..... You have to agree with me how incredibly smart and deceptive he is... But the "smarter" malaysians wouldnt buy his silly mind games for sure. I am not surprised if anwar is going back to umno just for the sake of wanting to be PM

Dah nak mula dah. ANwar dah mula menyiarkan mukadimahnya, nak buat ayat-ayat pancing...nak masuk balik UMNO agaknya dia ni.
