King Consents To Najib's Appointment As Sixth PM

PUTRAJAYA, April 2 (Bernama) -- Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin has consented to the appointment of Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak as the sixth prime minister of Malaysia, Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Mohd Sidek Hassan announced Thursday.
He said in a statement that Najib would be presented his letter of appointment as prime minister and would take his oath of office, loyalty and confidentiality before the Yang di-Pertuan Agong at Istana Negara at 10am tomorrow.
This morning, Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi had an audience with the Yang di-Pertuan Agong to hand over the letter relinquishing the post of prime minister in accordance with the agreed transition of power from him to Najib.
Najib, who succeeded Abdullah as the Umno president at the party general assembly last week, also had an audience with the Yang di-Pertuan Agong at Istana Negara today.
Abdullah was appointed the fifth prime minister of Malaysia on Oct 30 2003, having succeeded Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

tunku : anwar the moron thought YDP Agong will listen to him by not consenting najib's appointment. there were lots of rumours yesterday that YDP Agong did not consent najib's appointment after receiving memorandum signed by 81 opposition mps . the opposition is trying their best to stop najib as they know najib is a tough and smarter leader compare to pak lah.with pak lah as the pm, it's easy for them to win but not with najib as the pm.to DS Najib, all the best and don't let us down.

USAHA TERDESAK PEMBANGKANG
Emel:

Mat baca surat Anwar Ibrahim, mewakili 81 orang Ahli Parlimen kepada DYMM Yang Dipertuan Agung, memohon ditangguhkan perlantikan Dato Seri Najib sebagai Perdana Menteri.

Bukan main lagi isi surat tu.

The latest I read is that Anwar said that they would release all the Hindraf detainees the moment PR form the government.By hook or by crook, this "gila kuasa" desparado must never be allowed to hold the position of PM as he will "porakperandakan" negara since he is always on the side of people who are kurang ajar and suka break the laws.
