Najib Did Not Shine As DPM, Says Dr M

KUALA LUMPUR: Former Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad said Najib Razak did not shine as Deputy Prime Minister.
In a Reuters report published by The Straits Times Wednesday (17 Mar), Dr M said, “A lot of people are uncertain. Having watched Najib's performance as deputy (prime minister), he did not shine,' Dr Mahathir said a week before the United Malays National Organisation (Umno), the main party in the ruling coalition, holds internal polls.
Najib is standing unopposed to be Umno president, a post that traditionally carries with it the premiership, but there are tough battles for the deputy presidency and other top posts.
Najib can do well, but we will have to see, because when I asked Abdullah to appoint him as deputy I had a lot of hope for him, but he did not perform the way I expected,' Dr Mahathir said.
Dr Mahathir, however, did praise Mr Najib's action as finance minister in putting together an RM60 billion package of spending to try to offset the looming recession, contrasting it with Mr Abdullah's performance as the previous finance minister.

tunku : well under pak lah, najib was more trying to protect his seat and playing it safe. now the time has come for najib to shine and prove himself that he is a capable PM. As finance minister some how he has shown his credibility and now we would like to see his performance as PM.But the biggest question now is WHEN? till now no dates.

I think DS Najib did not shine as a DPM because his position was conpromised and constricted by you know who. He was compromised so that he will not shine thereby he could be easily ousted out to be replaced by an idiot that I think you and everybody know who. I got the impression that the Altantuya case is 'misteriously' a factor. Why? Because those idiots knew that when DS Najib becomes the PM he will continue what TDM had done and further enhanced his father's legacy.

TDM also did not shine when he was DPM. But when he took over the premiership in 1981, with the blessing of ALLAH he became the best Prime Minister of Malaysia. He brought development to the country as what we see today.

So be patient. We hope DS Najib will show his capability when he take over the premiership Insya Allah.
