Fairus Resigns As Deputy Chief Minister

PENANG, March 21 (Bernama) -- Penanti Assemblyman Mohammad Fairus Khairuddin tendered his resignation as Penang Deputy Chief Minister I and state executive councillor today.
Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng, in confirming this, said the resignation letter was faxed to his office this morning.
"We have accepted his resignation after a discussion with (PKR de facto leader) Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and (state PKR liaison committee chairman) Datuk Zahrain Mohamed Hashim," he told reporters here today.
However, Lim who is also DAP secretary-general, declined to comment on the reasons behind Fairus' resignation.
He said the state government accepted Fairus' resignation as a deputy chief minister and state Entrepreneurial, Cooperative Development, Information and Community Relations Committee chairman.
"I believe Fairus has his own reasons for resigning, but he will still remain with PKR as Penanti assemblyman," Lim said.
When asked who would replace Fairus, Lim said: "the position at the moment will be vacant until Fairus' resignation takes effect on April 8."
He added that Fairus would be on leave until April 8.
There had been speculation that Fairus was asked to vacate his government posts by last Thursday, but party leaders had dismissed it as mere rumours.
Yesterday, Lim had said that Fairus had taken leave for the rest of the week and should be back by Monday unless he planned to extend his leave.

There are many MPs won like wining a jackpot. by accident?by political tsunami? by virtue of choice of revenge...When you are place in a positions and with limit experience and knowledge, sometimes it can be rather stressful. Jobwise and political wise.
I think and believe many newly elected MPs regardless of Opp or BN are bunch of NUTs, there are not serving the constituency, they are hand tied. Everyday tangling in argument and look, we also got DBKL and district council and stateGOVT got tidak apa attitude, how much can they fight each other just to get our clogged drain cleaned, Dangue and CIKUNIA virus stops (smoking done). They are many LAZY mayors just sleeping. Wondering who may lose the next election....
How would a leader measures productivity and efficiency of a won-elected MPs? sooner or later they will lose, ppl are blogging everyday. I never and seldom read good of something todate.

For God sake. Look at people living needs and get each council to do the right things...
