Message from new hatchet man

Changing Leaders Won't Guarantee Problem Can Be Solved, Says Zaid

KOTA BAHARU, May 24 (Bernama) -- Barisan Nasional (BN) and Umno must be more firm when dealing with members who openly criticise national leaders and government policies whether within or outside the Dewan Rakyat.
Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Zaid Ibrahim said Umno and the BN should not allow such individuals to continuously make such criticisms openly as it could tarnish the government's image.
BN members should take part in explaining the policies and reforms carried out by the government instead of criticising them, he told reporters here Saturday. He said BN members who disagreed with the government policies should not be with the government and suggested that they became independent members of parliament like Datuk Ibrahim Ali, the member of parliament for Pasir Mas.
Zaid said the call by a handful of BN members for the resignation of Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi as the prime minister was immature as this would not guarantee that the problems in the party could be resolved.

tunku : this man has really changed. before made a minister he always talk about freedom of speech , transparency , etc but after becoming a minister he's asking those who wants to criticize the leadership should not be with the government and be independent members.what a chameleon in the cabinet.

For sure Zaid is wearing a different hat now. He will do anything to serve his master. That is the real problem with our UMNO leader. They are not serving the UMNO the party anymore as they become a leader by election or by default. I hope they could start differentiate their actual roles.

Ini masalahnya bila pemimpin dilantik oleh pimpinan atasan, dan bukan dipilih oleh ahli.

Saya telah banyak kali mengutarakan perkara ini dalam komen saya di dalam blog ini. Inilah salah satu sebab utama kepincangan UMNO; apa kata Kak Tunku?
