Hishammuddin assures action against Mukhriz

KUALA LUMPUR, May 28 – Umno Youth exco member and Jerlun MP, Datuk Mukhriz Mahathir, may think he is gaining support from within for his move to oust party leader and Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi. Despite the warning issued by Umno Youth chief Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein there has been no action taken to date.
However, the 44-year-old son of former premier Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad should not mistake the perceived inaction as tacit approval or lack of will power on his chief's part.
"He's not going to stop saying those things (against Abdullah's leadership) any time soon. So, we will take action against him once and for all (after compiling a list) or else we will have to take action against him every week," Hishammuddin told reporters camped outside the Dewan Rakyat today.
Mukhriz has become increasingly vocal in his criticisms against his party president of late, besides lashing out at those perceived to be the Abdullah's supporters.
His latest target is Datuk Zaid Ibrahim, the Minister in the Prime Minister's Department in charge of legal affairs, who was yesterday criticised for his reform proposals, specifically on the subject regarding ISA detainees.

tunku : what else can hisham capable of doing.he's brave enough with people like mukhriz who is a blacksheep in the party and too coward to say anything to his own deputy because the deputy is actually the boss.he can't question the pm of why he accepted ezam as he had promised.what a coward ketua pemuda.

Another thing that I think Hisham really forgotten is how big the role played by Tun to bring him into UMNO politics. Despite all of that he is treating Tun like "scruffy cat". Hisham should realize that the grassroots and civil society also right now really disappointed with him. Look at the ways Hisham act and react. Actually he belong to no where. He has no gut and he is not a pure UMNO leader and fighter. The way he shown his respect to former UMNO great leader like Tun will be haunted him for the rest of his life.

I don't expect too much of Hishamuddin.
What do you expect from someone who couldn't control his deputy just because he's the son-in-law of his boss ?
What do you expect of someone who, surrounded by his doting supporters, pulled his keris and then, surrounded by a chorus of hateful critics, ashamedly apologised, when if you are brave enough to pull out the keris, you must be brave enough to use it ? What do you expect of someone who, when Malaysia lost Batu Putih, kept his elegent silence ?
What do you expect of someone who when Ezam, who used to spit on the UMNO flag ,comes calling, is quick to open his arms to him ?
What do you expect of someone who, when a member of his own Youth Exco makes a democratic criticism of his own party, is quick to jump all over him like he is his worst enemy ?
Expect nothing.
