As At 4pm 60% casted their votes

Sixty per cent voter turn-out so far

IJOK: With less than an hour to go before polling ends, some 60 per cent of voters have already cast their ballots in the Ijok by-election Saturday.
Most of the polling centres have reported about 60 per cent voter turnout except for Pekan Berjuntai Bestari Utara where the figure was slightly lower.
The weather has been cloudy, but fine. It rained in some areas before polling started. The results are expected to be announced at about 8pm tonight.
Barisan Nasional’s K. Parthiban, 38, is taking on Parti Keadilan Rakyat’s Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim, 61, for the seat which fell vacant when BN assemblyman Datuk K. Sivalingam, 59, died on April 4.
In the previous general election, Sivalingam won the Malay-majority seat with a 1,649-vote majority.
