Ibrahim Ali threatens to expose ‘shocking’ Pakatan secrets

Datuk Ibrahim Ali has threatened to expose two secrets on assets held by Pakatan Rakyat (PR) leaders which he claims will shock the nation as it prepares to face the most heated polls contest to date.
The Perkasa president, however, said he would only reveal the secrets after nomination day and would first seek Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s approval.
“At this moment, I cannot reveal further information on that matter until the time is right.
“However, I am confident the exposure of these secrets later would shock many quarters, especially the people of Kelantan because (it) involves assets held by certain leaders in the opposition pact, apart from problems of cooperation among them,” he was quoted saying in Utusan Malaysia today.
The Malay rights leader reportedly told this to reporters after lodging a police report at the Dang Wangi district police headquarters.
He later claimed to have inside information on the internal strife within the PR pact.
The Pasir Mas MP was formerly a PAS leader but subsequently fell out with the party leadership, turned independent and later founded the Malay rights group Perkasa.
In a televised address on Wednesday, Najib announced the dissolution of the Dewan Rakyat, paving the way for the long-awaited 13th general election.
The Malaysian Insider understands that the polls may be held as soon as April 20 or a week later on April 27, depending on the Election Commission’s (EC) arrangements.
The EC will meet on April 10 to set the dates for nominations and polling that must he held within 60 days of it getting the notice of dissolution from every state legislative assembly that has yet to be dissolved.
Politicians from the ruling BN and opposition PR will be fighting tooth and nail to wrest majority control over 222 parliamentary seats and 505 state seats in the coming polls, which analysts have said is a toss-up between both pacts.
