Pakatan Rakyat Capitalises On Reverse Psychology Strategy - Muhyiddin

MUNYONYO (Uganda), July 28 (Bernama) -- Pakatan Rakyat is trying to capitalise on a reverse psychology strategy when its leaders say that the alliance would not break up despite pressure from the Barisan Nasional (BN), Malaysian Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said Tuesday.
"They try to cover up by saying that there is no problem but you can see what is happening in Penang, Kedah and Selangor," he told Malaysian reporters covering the 19th Global Smart Partnership Dialogue here.
Muhyiddin said there were serious differences between them in terms of ideology and working arrangements on many issues.
He was commenting on Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng's statement in Singapore that the alliance would not break up despite the pressure of "growing under a magnifying glass".
"They try to cover up but we know the situation in Malaysia, and their relationship is not so good as when they first got together after the general election," he said.
Commenting on a report quoting Selangor Menteri Besar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim as saying that Selangor would conduct its own probe into allegations of misappropriation of state funds as it had nothing to hide, Muhyiddin said the state government was at liberty to do so but "it is for their own consumption".
"It doesn't make any difference as there is clearly vested interest in the probe," he said.
Muhyiddin asserted that the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) was an independent body and everybody, including the Selangor government, should wait for the outcome of the investigations.
Khalid had also said that the results of the Selangor investigation would be made available to anyone who wanted it, including the MACC.

tunku : they are trying hard to cover up but the smell is so stinking.what khalid did is to cover up the misappropriation of state funds by it's exco members.that is why he formed internal team to investigate.by right he should let macc to conduct the investigation.the internal team can change their finding to please the people.
