KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 25 (Bernama) -- Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) has no plan to carry out leadership transition between president Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail and party advisor Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim at the party's annual congress this weekend.
PKR secretary-general Datuk Salehuddin Hashim said the matter did not arise even though Dr Wan Azizah had resigned as the Permatang Pauh member of parliament to give way to Anwar to contest the seat.
"There is no plan whatsoever. Why the need to change? She handles the party well," he told reporters at the PKR headquarters when asked to comment on rumours that there would be a leadership transition in the party at the congress.
The party's election would only be held in 2010.
The PKR national congress, scheduled for Saturday and Sunday at the Melawati Stadium in Shah Alam, will be attended by 1,900 delegates from 180 divisions ationwide.
The PKR Youth and Wanita PKR will hold their respective congress on Saturday, also in Shah Alam.

Salam Tunku,
I'm curious, were you the one who wrote the caption? Coz you're inviting shells and bullets from the cultists of the great Anwar Al-Sivaji.
I wonder he is now a party member, coz I never noticed a highly piblicized event that Anwar handed to Azizah the borang keahlian.
Wassalam.
yes piggy, i'm the one.
that is the big question here, why he don't want to be the president of the party when he is a mp now and also the opposition leader.furthermore he's dreaming of becoming a pm.i think he knows that he's going to jail soon.
Heh heh.. Pretty funny pic you got there...
