Blood Bank Appeals For Blood - Please Donate

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 13 (Bernama) -- The National Blood Bank is running low in supply and is appealing to the public to donate blood.
It says in a statement here that 400 to 500 bags of blood are needed daily by hospitals in the Klang Valley and a constant supply is vital for surgeries, transplants and treatment of thalasaemia, haemophilia and haemorrhagic dengue patients, among others.
Those intending to donate blood can do so at the blood bank in Jalan Tun Razak on Monday to Wednesday (7.30am to 5pm), Thursday and Friday (7.30am to 8pm) and Saturday (7.30am to 4pm).
They can contact the blood bank at 03-26933888 or fax 03-26980362 or surf its web site at http://www.pdn.gov.my for more information.

we donate blood. blood of a malay works in a chinese body, blood of a chinese works in a malay body. the same goes to every human being. when my mother needed blood, she was given the blood by a chinese man and later an Indian woman. she died a couple of years later. till today i cannot forget the chinese man and the indian woman who gave their blood to my mother when she was almost dying in the hospital. this shows we are all made of the same substance - the creation of the same GOD. i'm still waiting for the day when we can all live together peacefully, thinking less of of differences and look more for our similarities.
