Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng wants state Gerakan chief Datuk Dr Teng Hock Nan to explain how the Seberang Perai Municipal Council (MPSP) went from having RM225 million in its coffers, six years ago, to being insolvent now.Describing the situation as distressing today, Lim said Dr Teng, a former state executive councillor, must explain the poor state of affairs at the MPSP.
“How could he have allowed the deficit?,” Lim demand ed.
“As the former exco member in charge of local government, Dr Teng must explain. He cannot run away,” Lim insisted.
“He must have the courage and the responsibility to explain this distressing state of affairs,” Lim told reporters after flagging of a charity cyclethon at the Mount Miriam Hospital, here.
tunku : if you want to talk about deficit, the current penang budget by dap is also on deficit.guan eng and dap should stop this accusing job that they have been doing since 8th March 2008. they should move on and bring the state to a greater height.till today nothing much dap had done in penang except giving away donations (bribe) to people which will worsen the state financial. there is no point for a municipal to hold money and do nothing.it is better for them to spend the money for development which will boost the economy.it is sad to see that dap is still acting like opposition in penang.

setahu saya MPSP banyak menggunakan duit untuk membina bangunan baru sendiri di PERDA. yang patut guan eng tanya kenapa MPSP tak kutip parking kereta kat kawasan cina termasuk di kawasan hard core DUN guan eng sendiri. kalau nak duit banyak kutiplah parking kat kawasan cina tu. org penang tau kat kawasan cina termasuk di bagan dan raja uda, ong u how cina-cina dok parking kereta ikut suka mak bapak dia je. dah la parking pun MPSP tak leh nak kutip, kalau saman pun MPSP kena sound pulak.
kerajaan baru Penang asik buat tuduhan saja.kerajaan Kedah,Perak dan Selangor takde pulak macam tu.macam semuanya serba tak kena buat kerajaan Penang yang baru.takut nanti terkena pada batang hidung sendiri pulak.asyik cari salah orang lain sampaikan salah sendiri pun tak nampak.
sebelum ni Guan Eng serang Koh dalam debat yang disiarkan dalam televisyen berkaitan dengan hal tanah.sekarang sekali lagi dia cuba serang Koh.adei.apa lagi Koh Tsu Koon.jawap la.jangan tak jawab.hehehehe.
