GE13: Poor turnout for Anwar in Felda settlement at Paya Besar

The presence of Opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim failed to attract settlers in Felda Lepar Hilir 2 to attend his ceramah.
Only about 100 people comprising party workers and supporters including those from Kuantan PKR division turned up to lend support.
Felda Lepar is one of the major Felda settlements under the Paya Besar parliamentary constituency, traditionally a Barisan Nasional stronghold.
Anwar spoke on a host of issues including reiterating that Pakatan Rakyat would reduce the prices of oil within a day after taking over Putrajaya.
He also told the crowd that he had forgiven former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad for putting him in jail.
Later, he introduced the PKR candidates for Paya Besar parliament - lawyer Murnie Hidayah Anuar - and Jefri Jaafar Tukemin for Lepar state seat.
Anwar said support for the Pakatan was strong in Kuantan and Indera Mahkota but needed a push in Paya Besar.
He urged the crowd to help spread the message around in its bid to win over the parliamentary seat for this elections.
