Pahang Enlists Pensioners As Bloggers

TEMERLOH, Nov 23 (Bernama) -- The Pahang government has appointed three pensioners as bloggers to thwart slanderous comments and allegations posted on the Internet.
State Information, Science, Technology and Innovation Committee chairman Datuk Mohd Sharkar Shamsudin said the bloggers, who would be paid allowances, would be provided with computers and the Internet access in their homes.
The pensioners can capitalise on their experience to explain the actual situation to the people besides providing feedbacks and opinions to the government, he told reporters after attending the Senior Citizens Day organised by the Pahang Chapter of the Malaysian Government Pensioners' Association here Saturday.
"More bloggers will be appointed. We value pensioners' thoughts in our efforts to improve the state's economy and prosperity and unity of the people," he said.
Pahang Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Adnan Yaakob told the state legislative assembly recently that he was slandered by a blogger.

tunku : when you are slandered by blogger, you should appoint bloggers to counter attack.well that will be smart if you do it without announcing it to the whole world.this is very stupid strategy by adnan and his man.no one will listen to those bloggers explanations now as they will be labelled adnan's hired servant.

tindakan Adnan ni bagus.tapi dia silap langkah dengan mengumumkan tindakan sebegini.patutnya buatlah secara senyap-senyap.saya percaya pihak pembangkang lebih ramai bloggers mereka.

lepas ni janganlah pulak Adnan dedahkan nama-nama mereka yang terlibat sebagai blogger.nanti tak pasal jadi "easy target".benda-benda macam ni tak perlu kecoh-kecoh.keep it hush-hush.

smart - to have bloggers that are willing to thwart slanderous comments and allegations posted on the Internet.this will help to counterattack those who only knows how to badmouth the govt in all the thing the govt does.

not smart - to actually annouced this move towards the media.then again those who familiar with political blogging must be aware that each political party here in Malaysia might have their own blogger to defend their very own party.

absolute stupidity - if Adnan reveales the name of the bloggers to the media or other quarters.this will only endanger the security and perhaps the live of the blogger itself.

ha..ha..ha.. what a stupidity is adnan by announcing publicly to have bloggers that are willing to counter attack the slanderous comments posted by independent bloggers. Rakyat know what they are reading whether it is politically slanderous or the real stories behind behind the slanderness. What a dirty job adnan is doing by appointing such bloggers- MAU TIPU RAKYAT LAGI KER??????????
