No right to call for PM’s resignation, says Nazri

KOTA KINABALU: No one in Umno has the right to call for Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi to step down as Prime Minister, party supreme council member Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz said on Saturday.
He said the Umno president was also chairman of the Barisan Nasional which was handed a majority in parliament by Malaysians during the March 8 polls.
"What right has anyone in Umno to deny the wishes of the people?"
said Nazri, the Minister in the Prime Minister's Department, after meeting senior Nartional Security Council officials here on Saturday.
He said those who demanded for Abdullah to step down were "foolish" and did not understand what democracy was all about.
When reporters pointed out to Nazri that among those who called for Abdullah to step down were his fellow cabinet colleagues, he said: "Just because you are a minister does not mean you are always right."
He however said that he was not surprised that ministers were asking for Abdullah to quit as even a former Prime Minister was making the demand. Nazri said the people now wanted the Barisan-led government to administer the country instead of "Umno telling the rakyat that Pak Lah is not fit to be the Prime Minister."
It was crucial for Umno to respect the people's wishes as without their support, the party could collapse, he added.
He said his comments may not make him a popular figure "but at least I think I'm right."
On the upcoming parliament sitting, Nazri reminded MPs that though they were granted a certain amount of immunity, this however did not mean that they could utter seditious, racist or sexist remarks in the House.
He said this reminder was for Barisan and Opposition MPs alike, adding that they should not get carried away with whatever they intended to voice out in parliament.

tunku : you think you are right? you think those who calling for pak lah resignation are foolish people? well you can see it if he stay on as pm, whether bn will win the next election. just because you are a minister does not mean you are always right either, hatchet man.people like you make umno are look down today.

My dear Tunku,

This nazri aziz has either either otak udang or is a kepala kayu who makes a fool of himself each time he opens his mouth. He used to be one of the biggest bodek/ampus of Mahathir, but since Pak Lah took over as PM and Pak Lah gadoh with Mahathir, Nazri has chosen to use his otak udang to attack Mahathir's enemies. Mark my words, the minute Pak Lah steps down and Najib or whoever becomes PM, Nazri will straight away ketuk Pak Lah as he is now attacking Mahathir and will bodek whoever is the new PM. Termalu sangat!

Have a nice day, my dear Tunku

This Nazri fellow sure got the gift of the gab. No wonder he was made in charge of Parliament, I think the first such post in the world.
Let's see now - no one has the right to ask Dollah to resign: Nazri's right. It's not no one - it's everyone has the right.
Next - those who are demanding it must be foolish: Nazri's right again. It's foolish to expect Dollah to agree.
Next - just because you're a minister, it doesn't mean you're right: Shit! Nazri is right again. The bugger is the proof.
Next - we all should let the government do their job instead of making all this demand for resignation: again Nazri is uncannily right. It's 4 years already and Dolah & his government should start working.
Lastly, but certainly not the least:what I say may be unpopular, but I think I'm right. This is the icing on the cake-lah Nazri. You are very popular - just ask Karpal,Nik Aziz,Wan Azizah, Samy Vellu and all these people. And because I've said that you have been right on all the above points, you are therefore very right !
